It is a good fit for Saviors of Kamigawa: Besides enabling Spiritcraft, it interacts with "Wisdom" cards.
Helps out with Peacekeeper, Ensnaring Bridge, Glacial Chasm, Ritual of Subdual/Infernal Darkness/Naked Singularity/Reality Twist, Tornado, Ancestral Knowledge, Avalanche Riders, Bone Shredder, Crater Hellion, Deranged Hermit, Firemaw Kavu, Ghitu Slinger, Karmic Guide, Reality Acid, Stingscourger, Second Chance, and several fading/vanishing cards that use counters as a cost.
And then some.

This is one of my favourite cards: 4/5
because I can have lots of fun in multi-player using this and Slum Reaper
I can also feel like a boss when this combo's with Extorts (Picture Vizkopa Confessor)
How does this card work in 1 v 1 however?
LIKE THIS!: Stonehorn Dignitary/Ravenous Rats/Sin Collector
The stonehorn dignitary combo is great but vulnerable, so why not add Cloudshift to improve your ETB effect usage and flicker past removal spells :D
Best thing is that I only used black/white examples... Its a colourless card that makes stuff like Thragtusk even more tricky

Apparently Umbilicus was urgently needed for Saviors of Kamigawa, yet the name didn't suit that nicely in the Set, so created a duplicate of that card, huh?
Even better - this way you have the choice to get this bounce up to eight times while stuffing your deck with cheap cip/etb-trigger owning cards. Unfortunately they might happen to use those cards as well, which doesn't happen that rarely. Sigh.
But if you prepare your deck with cards like Azorius Æthermage and others that profit from having many cards in hand (7+ cards on hand was the main themen in SoK after all), this could still find some good use.
Both cards - or at least this remake - could have used a cheaper mana cost, though.

A great effect for Spirt triggered abilities. Otherwise, you can use guys like Glitterfang.

There is the makings of a card that can be built around here. We need Paradox Hazes, Painful Quandary to really mess with people's heads and a couple of Memnites, Ornithopters or even Augury Owls to make the drawback of Bloo Clock less unhappy for us.
We could try Scroll Thief too, if we are bouncing their creatures back. If the opponent is bouncing lands back instead, well then... they're LANDS! You need those!
