I'd consider this one a Haste instant with some bite to it. I played Sokenzan Spellblade, powered it up to a 7/4, used this to give it haste, and my opponent lost all four of the creatures that blocked it.

hmm 2/1 haste for 3cmc is meh, just haste to target for 1cmc and discarding a creature... if u need to fill your graveyard in red... lets just say it sux
