HE'S GOT PIERCED NIPPLES. I don't think any Magic creature will ever be able to top this guy....

Likes most Arabian Nights Djinns, this is a great card, but the drawback for this Djinn is too high...

nammertime
the oracle rulings states their sacrificed so only the Oboro combo works(and it works quite nicely except you lose that land drop)

And now we have demon tokens with pierced nipples. I can't wait for the next 5 power flier with pierced nipples, there's obviously a correlation between the two.

I mentioned Dakmor Salvage on my modern masters comment, but I really think this guy is stellar. He's a 4.5 or 5/5 for me. Between him, delver of secrets and Serendib Efreet blue has some immensely powerful flying beatdown for cheap.
Also consider Wormfang Drake and Skaab Ruinator, but you'll want a boatload of early control cards to really seal the deal. These types of creatures sitting next to Sphere of Resistance, Winter Orb, Tangle Wire, or similar can really end the game fast; locking the opponent down quickly.
Consider Life from the Loam as a means to keep this guy's drawback from eating you up too badly. Note that opponent's have to choose between 1-for-1 with removal, or waiting to try and 2-for-1. If they wait, you'll have counterspell mana open.
While he's near $20, I may have to shell ... (see all)

Actually, none of those land combos works. If you bounce Orobi, then upon resolution of Serendib Djinn's ability, you would still have to sacrifice a land. Sacrificing indestructible lands still sends them to the graveyard. Indestructibility is not immune to sacrifice.

I agree not only is has drawback cost high, but for what he does (to you), I can't see anyone paying that much for him on the secondary market, in spite of his great artwork (you've outdone yourself, Anson Maddocks).

Yeah, the drawback is brutal, but a 5/6 flyer for 2UU is pretty stupidly powerful, even by today's standards. The main problem I see is him being nailed with a Pacifism effect and eating all your lands since you can't just sac the Djinn instead of a land as long as you still have lands.

That's fine! Then i'll just sacrifice lonely sandbars!

Just stick a Spirit Link on him then not only do you get 5 life each turn he attacks, but it also takes the edge off his upkeep drawback. Stick 2 Spirit Links on and it becomes a nice bonus!
