High risk, high reward. It can deal 6 damage for 1 mana but it's very possible that you utterly lose the card if you lose the creature.

A great enchant creature, a great card early on, the blue mages on Shandalar adore this card...

Plays nice with Leech Bonder. If he isn't blocked as a 4/4 on turn 4, he's still a 4/4 turn 5, meanwhile shrinking your opponent's critters each time, including declared blockers. Or throw it on a different critter and find a good way to tap Leech Bonder up besides attacking, and he's gravy. Merrow Reejerey

here's a great example of an old card that keeps getting stronger as time goes on. Carnifex Demon

Great card. Should be brought back instead of just moaning that people don't use auras.

Remember Magic before 4-of limits? 20 Flying Men, 20 Unstable Mutation, 20 Islands. Let's go.

I still like this card. It's flavor is cool, and it is a nice way to make any creature into a huge threat for a while... power at a price, and all that. Or, if you can risk the size increase, buff up an opposing creature and watch it wither away. That trick works best on little utility creatures, like certain Commanders, etc.
