I miss the days when Middle Eastern culture wasn't a taboo.

@SteetFox, well Wrath of God could easily have referred to any god of any religion. Who's to say Odin or Jupiter or Ameterasu aren't laying down the beats?
Beyond that, Allah is literally 'God' in Arabic. Christians and Jews living in the middle east use the word just as much as Muslims. So once again, this is just being faithful to the Arabian theme of the set.

@Thewrathofshane

The whole set was based around Middle Eastern precepts, beliefs, placenames and events/creatures with some fanciful ones added in. A slew of stuff from the Thousand and One Nights is in there too (Shahrazad is the most glaring example, she kept telling the Caliph stories so she wouldn't lose her life, that's a pretty rough bunch of stories but great stuff) so...why complain about it? Muslims refer to their creator as Allah, it's appropriate for THIS SET to have such a card. It's completely in flavour.

Also, it's a nice combat trick, I have it in my Thalia deck for a final push card.

@ TheWrathOfShane
Fun fact, Allah is literally just the Arabic word for god. Another fun fact, you're a whinging tool. HairlessThoctar has already explained the Allah thing you spamming idiot. If you really have so many problems with MtG using words that don't fit into your extremist worldview, then stop playing! And ESPECIALLY don't spam the comment sections. Don't think I didn't notice you posting the exact same comment across multiple Devil cards.

Ahh... Back when you could print "Allah" on a card without people branding the game as antichristian.
.....
Anyway, this isn't that great. I prefer Glorious Anthem to it.

@Tiggurix

Would "Real World Religions" include Norse mythology? If so, check out the flavor text on the Alpha to 4th Wall of Bone.

Should really go in Red, in my opinion.

I like the art, though. It sticks out in today's BIG SPIKES AND MONSTERS art with its historical realism, but hey, to each their own.

Crucifixion- Enchantment, 3W
When Crucifixion comes into play, sacrifice a creature. All creatures you control are white and have protection from black.

It's a playable option but, y'know, so are a lot of other things which would do the same job as well or better.
