I really don't see how Hans could visually equate this with the Lhurgoyf.

Love the flavor text, referencing the fact it is a black Lhurgoyf. This fits the color-pie, and the evasion is a nice touch. Still playable in casual i think, along with Golgari grave-troll, the original Lhurgoyf and Bonehoard. Add some dredge cards and you have a deck.

If that bothers you, simply go for the regular printing.
It's the second pre-release card that ever existed (the first one being Dirtcowl Wurm), admittedly it's quite primitive in comparison to the newer once, since that gold stamp is the only difference from the regular version.

Back in the day, along with Living Death, Fallen Angel, and Skyshroud Vampire, this card was really useful. The only kill cards were Dark Banishing and Terror.
