This is the most annoying card to come up against. As a matter of fact, this is the very card that makes me feel trapped inside a tiny little box whenever I'm playing a deck with less than 4 colors.
Cool card combo: Quicksilver Fountain. If all your land cards are islands, you can't tap for mana when scald is out. If you can't tap for mana, then you can't play any cards that would get rid of scald. See how beautifully this card can stall the game?

My friend used to run this, I never won, but those were the days when I was running jank like Water Elemental and Giant Octopus. Still don't see a blue deck racing this card, unless they are only splashed blue, but who does that?

Would make decent sideboard against Blue, nice because it's low mana cost means you hose them early, rather than Boil which means they're more likely to have counter-mana. That said, most run Red Elemental Blast because it effects the board state, and because non-basics are common.

Why is this rated only 3 stars? This is mean as heck against a blue mage. Should probably cost 2R to be fair. It's hard to beat the good ol' Red Elemental Blast, but this one's on fire...
