Classic black card. Tendrils of Corruption might be better, but it will never be as instantly recognizable and pitch black as its granddaddy.

I always loved this card since the 7th addition...the other night this card won me a close match against an aura master deck as I had 3 life left and no creatures but a ton of mana (mostly swamp) my friend had 12 life and I dealt I think 9 top him directly then gained 9 life putting me in the lead and then I just used a creature with shadow to destroy his life without being blocked

I routinely murder otherwise safe players with this.
Never underestimate a minimum of 6 damage to the face.

Why does everyone say that Tendrils is better than this? Corrupt can tear through an opponents life total like nothing. Im not saying Corrupt is better either, just that its certainly not worse, as the additional targeting option is definitely worth the price.
