Awesome in a tribal deck but unless you buy craploads of boosters to make a themed deck (for example a Merfolk deck or an Elf deck) it's about as useful as Strength of Unity would be in a mono-color deck.

I like that the card has such an high rating, since I hope for a 1/1 reprint with changeling (when not in play and choose a creature type when in play). But a card like this is only useful when you play more than 1 card of the chosen type per turn. In any other cases, a simple mana artifact is more useful/versatile (see Worn Powerstone or Thran Dynamo).

@rson20: I guess... I mean. That's a four-card combo right there. That loses to shatters...

Make a deck with:
4x this
4x Heartless Summoning
4x Copy Artifact
4x Copy Enchantment

And a whole bunch of Eldrazi.

Note: it costs 2 less. This can make things potentially free.

Imperative in anything even remotely resembling a tribal deck. Myr, Slivers, Elves, Goblins, Beats, Zombie, Eldrazi: you name it. Run 4 of them for maximum profit.

Watch out which tribal you're planning on playing it in. Elves may seem like a tribe that needs this, but remember that lots of them don't have much colourless mana (llanowar Elves, Rofellos, Llanowar Emissary, Joraga Warcaller, Heritage Druid, etc.).

Probably the best tribes for this are Slivers and Myrs. Slivers aren't usually colour-heavy (except for Sliver Legion, Sliver Overlord and Sliver Queen), and Myr's... well, I think it's quite obvious when you're able to play Myr Superion for 0.

Also, remember who you're playing against and what type you choose. If you choose Human, your opponents are bound to have some of their own.

Are you joking? Have you not heard of buying singles?
Ok, a bit of advice to everyone. You, through this database, have access to information on every MTG card ever printed. You can then playtest these decks on Magic Workstation, ***atrice, and several other programs, post them and get advice on MTG Salvation, Tapped Out, or any of the other forums, and repeat until you have a working deck, all without spending a penny. Then you can order the Cards from TCGPlayer , Star City Games, ChannelFireball, Blackborder, or any of the other sites. If you want immediacy, go to your local card store. Don't know where your local card store is? Look up FNM locations on this site, most FNM locations are card stores.
