The epitome of vanilla 1/1s. Seriously, you can't get any cheaper than 0 or more vanilla than colorless.

Lol this has the best power-mana cost ratio of all cards in Magic. When you divide by zero, things apparently don't blow up, they make Memnites.

I didn't know skirr was a word until I saw this card. Looked it up in the dictionary and sure enough, it means to scurry, or a grating, whirring sound. Both meanings make sense for this creature.
As for the creature itself, it's quite cla s s y. Affinity decks love free creatures as do the new Metalcraft cards. Sure to see play in several formats.

The thing I love most about this card is that it unofficially declares that cards like Fugitive Wizard and Eager Cadet are out of the picture for good.

I don't know, I'd like it more if the CMC was a little lower

1/1 for 0 is a 5/5 card on its own, but add to that that it's an ARTIFACT i.e. metalcraft pumper, kuldotha fodder etc etc in standard alone?
6/5

@Demonic_Math_Tutor
Or, for a lot less $$$$ for legit cards, you can do this:
Hand:
Mountain, this, 2 Lotus Petal's, Mass Hysteria, Tinker, Mox Opal
Tinker into a Blightsteel Colossus winnage!

My only complaint with this card is that I bought a whole box of Scars and didn't even get one. What the hell?
Anyway, this is an amazing card, a nice concept that I'm surprised wasn't done sooner. Probably my second favorite zero-drop critter behind Shield Sphere, and only narrowly edging out Phyrexian Walker. Definitely at the right rarity, too: a 0 cmc 1/1 with no abilities isn't quite worth a rare slot, but is definitely on the high edge of the uncommon rarity.
