This was a usable card in M10. And M10 didn't have Grim Lavamancer. Fun times ahead for UR. :D

This one saved my butt a couple times in the pre-release tournament when I needed to top-deck the right thing and didn't. Not that that's not my fault to begin with. But it's nice to run, especially with Merfolk Mesmerist.

Long story short, I love this card.
I've always played a casual U/W deck and my weakest point was usually dead cards in my hand, then this little merfolk came along and my problems were solved.

This plays particularly well with Quest for Ancient Secrets and Archmage Ascension. You draw at least two cards a turn and a card enters your graveyard each turn as well.

So now, with Riddlesmith, Reckless Scholar, and Merfolk Looter, and Enclave Cryptologist. . . you can loot half your deck in a couple of turns. Jace's Archivist helps with that too!

Hey! They said red would get looting from now on. I want my Goblin Looter!

Always a handy cycler to get what you want, although until Zendikar cycles out I'll stick with Enclave Cryptologist.

Let's me play Kuldotha Phoenix in my monoblue artifact deck.

So happy to see this one back. And not just for the legs, mind you.
