I hate this guy. because he's so good. he has three very good abilities on a 2/3. I would play him as a 1/1, no less a 2/3!

This card is my nemesis! So good! Yet so overpowered. He demands attention the second he hits the board. This guy would be good for 2BlackBlack, the fact he comes out a turn before my Sanctum Gargoyle is scary to me.

@RDorothy Lifelink is secondary in black, and fits the Vampire flavor very well, I think.

Mono-black control is definitely viable for Standard play soon, if it wasn't already with Geralf's Messenger and Phyrexian Obliterator.
