Ironically, one of the two planeswalkers in Modern Masters is one of the least played planeswalkers in Modern.

I think this was the wisest reprint for the second Planeswalker.

It'd either be him, Sarkhan the Mad, Liliana Vess, or Ajani Vengeant. Mad Sarkhan isn't heavily played in Modern, Vess was printed 3 times, and Vengeant had his own duel-deck. Is it obvious? Not really, but I think I'm not the only one who's happy on this decision.

It OFFENDS me that this is only his second reprint. He never got a Duel Deck in either form.

Plus, he has excellent synergy with Gruul too. I figure that a fair few cards were reprinted in MM to fit in with the Return To Ravnica block, and this guy works perfectly with them all. Heck, stealing a creature of theirs and lobbing in a Bloodrush has gotta hurt.

Plus, he's the DRAAAGON MAAAAN

All I'm saying guys,
ALL I'M SAYING
If I pack this in Limited, and get passed (or pack) a Doubling Season in addition, I'm going to be quite ecstatic.

Huh, Um, What?

My first thought on seeing him spoiled, why is Sarkhan Vol in MM anyway, I mean, I guess he kinda synergizes with the Kamigawa reprint dragons, but still, I think Baby Jace would have been a better reprint.

Also 'Dovahkiin!'

4/5 Stars

YEY first comment!

On the card: Sarkhan is amazing. He can put a lot of pressure down on your opponent, giving all your creatures a continual stream of haste. His -2 can remove threats from your opponents side of the field for a turn. The Ulti, one of the few that is easy to obtain and worth it, is pretty much a win condition on its own. Turn 4, play him and us his +1 (even if it's not relevant), +1 turn 5, -6 on turn 6 (killing Sarkhan), play a new one that turn and use the new ones +1 for game. That clock is deadly.

So we got Duel Decks: Ajani vs. Nicol Bolas. Now when do we get Duel Decks: Arcades Sabboth vs. Sarkhan Vol? It's only fair, and then those of us who had the foresight to buy the older set can mix and match decks.

Fantastic synergy with Domri Rade.

Every ability just slides perfectly with the others.

+1 and +1. I drew a creature card, cast it, and give it +1/+1 and haste.
+2 and -2. I gain control of a creature you control, and fight your creatures with it.
-6 and -7. (which can go off on the same turn.) I have FIVE 4/4 flying, double strike, trample, hexproof dragons, with HASTE!

Would be neat with Life.

Play a land, cast life, give your dudes +1/+1 and hit for 6+. If you have small dudes or have been mana-ramping at all you should be hitting for more like 11; which is usually a game ender.

Consider him with any number of weenies and you won't be dissappointed.

What a powerful planeswalker. It looks like Homing Lightningis finally useful.

But seriously this ultimate is killer.
