Oh hey, hidden strings, I get a vigilance effect and a mini frost breath on attack? You suddenly look a lot more attractive.

So, common creatures can now wipe out entire fleets?

This guy's pretty solid in limited... the set has more than enough cheap card-drawing enchantments to frost breath 1 or 2 creatures every turn.

@Majikthise Brilliant! That is an awesome two card common combo for Standard. Well done! Pauper players take note!
This guy is almost overpowered for a common. I am done fighting power creep though. I am sitting back and enjoying. I like this guy. He worked well in draft.
5/5 for being one hell of a beefy common who easily serves his purpose.
BTW: He is great for finishing a game. Even if you have to cast a destructive spell on him to get your opponent's viable blocker out of the way.

I've played this card's heroic ability online on tapped creatures and been happy but, upon rereading the card, I'm having some issues reconciling how I'm able to target a tapped creature and still have that creature not untap given I never tapped the targeted creature. Can someone help me out seeing how this works. I'm aware of the rule that says if a card tries to do something impossible it jus does what is possible, but Wavecrash Triton has an ability with two sentences, I would think te second sentence "checks" the first sentence for being true? Help reconciling my confusion would be appreciated.

Not sinking the fleet, only slowing them down to a crawl. Quite the hero though.
A great card in its role. He's great at stopping aggression and has quite a game against the bigger and annoying threats, which are rife in Theros between the heroic decks and the glut of green fat. And if you can enchant him, he"ll become a solid attacker as a 3/6 or 2/5.
This guy is one of the betterhorned turtles out there, but only really worth it if you can target him once or twice. A very solid guy in limited to be sure. I'm rarely unhappy to draw him when I'm behind, except if I'm topdecking of course.
Also, yeah, you can tap a tapped creature. The ability doesn't care about the current status of the creature.

it's simple:
"Tap target creature..." can target any creature, tapped or not.
vs
"Tap target untapped creature..."
