The only Portals three kingdoms reprint to actually have a use in commander (besides Quan, and his nice unblockable horsies). They should have left it at that.

I actually was going to say the same thing. I really like this art and the new frame complements it quite well.
Anyways, green is secondary in both graveyard filling (Mulch) and curiosity (Keen Sense) effects. The deck almost builds itself.

Haunted Crossroads for green. Note that you can use his ability during your upkeep.
It's odd that no existing creature class was appropriate for him. Cleric, Advisor, and Shaman aren't quite right.
