Tapped can be a burden, but this is a buget players wet dream in terms of mana fixing.

It comes into play tapped, but considering it is "Tap, add Red, Green, or White to your mana pool," and not "1, Tap: add Red, Green, or White to your mana pool," as in you Tap to add a single Red, Green, or White to your mana pool, instead of paying 1 and Taping to filter that mana into a single Red, Green, or White mana, it is worth it - and not that bad a drawback to gain access to 3 colors at once.
