While I would hesitate to say this card is better than Zombie Master since this card does not give your creatures any form of evasion and can bring your creatures back to your hand not stop them from dying altogther, I would still consider this card on par with Zombie Master, really they are two lords with two very diffrent uses.
Lord of the Undead is one of my personal favorite lords. A major contester for your 3 drops in any zombie deck.
I personaly run 4 of these in my mono-black zombie deck and really they are a must to keep your zombies from staying locked away in the graveyard. Also brining back a nameless inversion or a fleshbag marauder every turn can be pretty game changing as it often allows you to shut down your opponents creature generation altogther.
Also if you need more ways to bring back your zombies to put presure on the field consider unearth and unholy grotto/auto... (see all)

Putting the original Zombie Master to shame, this gives a bonus that is meaningful against any deck and an additional ability that is perfect for a Zombie theme and can give enormous card advantage. Even better with its post-9E wording, and with the addition of Changeling to the environment (if there are no applicable creatures in your graveyard, you can reuse a Nameless Inversion over and over).

Play with Rooftop Storm and possibly Heartless Summoning to balance the drawback!
