You wouldn't believe how awesome old Magic cards that nobody plays and 'dies to x' can get once you read the novels.
Specifically, the story of Krieg and Gatha was a pure joy to read in the book 'Bloodlines', part of Artifacts Cycle II.
Basically, the Keldons are somewhere inbetween the Spartans from 300 (ahistorical exaggerations and all), crossed with THOR from...Thor. and the Avengers movie, lol.
"We drank, we fought, we killed 10,000 men in a bloody savage night of blind revelry and rage, we made our ancestors proud! THIS! IS! KELDON!!!!!!!!!!!!"

I always loved how this guy looks like he just stepped out of a heavy metal album cover.

Great card back in the day, though now I usually go with Battle Squadron.

He's a human barbarian now, which is good for him.
He looks like a monster.
And his old wording is awesome and contains examples.

Scary back in the day, since he could become huge and that artwork clearly said, "You're going to die." Sadly underpowered by today's standards.
