I'm a big fan of non-blue draw spells, and this isn't a bad one. It's more splashable than Sign in Blood, and the difference between 2 and 3 cards is pretty huge. The life loss shouldn't really discourage any deck from running this. Even if it does bother you, black has plenty of cards like Child of Night and Tendrils of Corruption which can offset it nicely.

Ah, blacks version of Concentrate or Harmonize (though harmonize was just the timeshifted version of concentrate). It is a very good card, even with the life lost.
@ Nickkorn
What you are missing is that Blue is the color that specializes in drawing (green comes in with a close 2nd for draw). Black almost never gets to draw cards unless it is at the cost of life, so considering that this is a Black card and not a Blue one, this is a fairly good card for quick draw.
I personaly run Graveborn Muses instead, though I also play a suicide black zombie deck so maybe this is not the best comparison.

The life loss is only three mana, that's really nothing at turn 4 or 5, 6, or 7.
You will only win with this card, I promise you.

Needs a reprint. Maybe with a better card name. Excellent.

same cmc as harmonize, same effect, but with a life loss draw back. Not the greatest.

Quite a bit better than Infernal Contract

@LordOfTheFlies87
I love this card name it fits what it dose.
As for playability this card has gotten me outta some tight spots.
It would be all the better as instant tho.
