Wow, in R/B burn, this is great, burn all the rest of your hand, then reload for 3CMC. Though you'll both have a fresh hand, your opponent will be close to dying, and oyu'll easily be able to finish him
off.

Absolutely fantastic card. If you ever played magic in the early days or against a vintage blue deck, there is really nothing worse then surviving time walk and ancestral recall, only to have them reinserted into the library and your opponent draws 7 new cards. Also unlike some newer weaker versions of this card, Timetwister is not removed from the game which means the cycle can be repeated again, also you only need one blue mana to play this card. It can easily be flashed in almost any deck. Definitely should be in the power 9. Personally I think that it should be power 10 and include Time Vault also.

I agree that this is a very powerful spell and deserves to be on the Power 9. It's not just because of drawing 7 cards, but also recycling your ENTIRE graveyard (which most likely contains other Power 9 or restricted cards if you are lucky enough to have a Timetwister) back into your library. Not only that, it doesn't remove itself from the game like Feldon's Cane does. So, this whole cycle can be done over and over again. The combos with cards like Underworld Dreams/Black Vice are just icing on the cake.

That certainly also is insane card draw and as opposed to Wheel of Fortune has an Reminisce effect included on top of it which lets the caster reuse all of his cast spells and destroyed permanents, yet:
Your opponent gets to do just the same.
Therefore in a Mirror Match for example, this is effectively card and mana disadvantage for you.
Of course i'm exaggerating now, and besides you're the one that goes first to use those cards.
On top of that you can adjust your deck to make this card a certain advantage for you, e.g. by adding Underworld Dreams to punish your opponent for drawing, and your opponent could possibly also get problems if all graveyards get cleaned again.
But wait. So the Power Nine is considered to be the most powerful cards ever printed.
Yet some players even say those are cards that can make any deck stronger that uses them. And this ... (see all)

Honestly. people who are rating this lower than the rest of the P9 have no idea of what they are talking about, and have never played Vintage in their lives. Draw 7 is a very important part of Vintage, and this is by far the best of any Draw 7 card there is, for Vintage, at least, the eternal format with the highest power level in Magic.
Resolving a Timetwister does far more than resolving a Mox/Lotus/Walk/Recall. People are forgetting the effect that it has on your opponent, one of the biggest boons of Timetwister. I'm absolutely certain that people don't understand the Vintage meta, as this will irrevocably damage Stax, and completely shut down Ichorid, two popular Vintage mainstays. This will downright hose any graveyard/recursion based deck, and it is more than just an incredible sideboard for decks like Fish. It is one bomb that refills your hand and shuts down your opponent in one go.

Seven cards for three mana. That's just insane. Even if it's the weakest of the Power Nine, it's still worlds more powerful than any draw card besides Ancestral Recall.

You know I play this card in my deck. And even though it's really really powerful mainly because I can get back all the cards I used in my library and draw a new hand of seven cards, let me say that my friends also like when I play this card. I'm vintage and they're not, but they still appreciate it very much most of the time even though I have a better card-efficiency then them. I would say basically that this card, on top of allowing you some very impressive combos, is like a Wrath of God or a Balance; it can twist the game entirely in your favor depending on what you get in your new hand, or it can help you simply refill your hand with a possibility of playing again those restricted cards you've already played or it can screw you if your opponents draw better hands than yours. All in all, I say it's a very valuable card and allowed me to win so many games and was the key to so much fun combos that I love it very much, especially with Tormod's Crypt or effects alike. :p

IMO, I wish the whole P9 were about at this cards level. This is the power of a card that is like "HOLY SHIT, this card is powerful" without it being so powerful its in every deck ever and becomes boring. I wish it was an instant, though, just so it could be used to disrupt opponent's combos :P.
