It flies, nice. It has deathtough, excellent. It dredges for five, superb. It has a cmc of three, magnificent. Its common, brilliant, purely brilliant.

@SavageBrain89: You are so right on this one! Stinky is stellar.
In multiplayer he always makes sure that your opponents look elsewhere first. Even if you don't use his dredge engine as a central strategy, he won't disappoint. This guy is the reason why I like the new Deadly Recluse so much.

Not downing on the utility of this card but it isn't Deathtouch. This guy only applies to combat damage. The only way that really matters though is that you can't ping things to death or use him to fight things to get the ability to activate.

These little deathtouch guys are like Pit Traps.

for Flying + Deathtouch + Dredge + Common = no brainer. Killer card.

It's also not deathtouch because it's a triggered ability; meaning you can use something like Altar's Reap on the creature about to die in response while dealing lethal damage to Stinky.
I'm sure there are ways to abuse that as the black user, I just haven't thought of any yet..
Also, unlike deathtouch, it doesn't rely on "lethal damage", which is good and bad. Bad because a buff spell on Stinky under post-M10 rules means you have to assign lethal damage still. Good because against regeneraters that you deal lethal damage against, it'll kill them *after* they've regenerated:
-Creatures deal damage
-Stinkweed's ability goes on the stack (this happens during the combat damage step)
-State-based effects are checked, regen creature's regen kicks in and goes on top of the stack
-It regens, removes from combat etc..
-Stinkweed's ability kills it again.
Their may yet be other cool nuances that make this better/worse than deathtouch. Use and abuse it my friends.

Not a bad card, definitely dynamic. Not a hard hitter, he might as well have defender.

@DriztD27 - Which isn't exactly a problem in Black (since they don't really have easy access to either ability).
